Wouldn't you like to have better vision without having to rely on your eyeglasses or contact lenses all the time? If so, then laser vision correction may be for you. At the office of Dr. Sheldon Cowen, you can depend on expert treatment including in performing LASIK. The result is vision that is considerably better than what you have now.
The first priority is to find out if you're a good candidate for our
Seattle laser vision correction. All it takes is a simple examination and consultation with our eye surgeon. A medical history is taken and your risk factors, if any, will be assessed. You will need to stop wearing your contact lenses prior to the testing. Our office will discuss this with you when you make your appointment. Some of the qualifications that are associated with our Seattle laser vision correction include having a prescription for corrective lenses that is within a certain range, not having undergone previous corneal surgery, and being at least 18 years old. The procedure itself begins with numbing your eyes with anesthetic eye drops. You will remain awake throughout. A flap of corneal tissue is opened and peeled back, and it is through this opening that our eye surgeon reshapes your cornea before replacing the flap. There are no stitches or bandages afterward, and the entire process only takes a few minutes per eye. Better vision typically becomes noticeable by the next day, or maybe even later the day of surgery, owing to the fact that light will now travel more accurately between your corneas and your retinas. You may be able to discard your eyeglasses or contacts entirely, but at minimum, you will need them far less.
Contact our office to book a time to come in and find out if your
Seattle laser vision correction is suited to your needs.
